Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and organized Front Desk Admin/receptionist, preferably with Plastic Surgery knowledge to join a Doctor's Office. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor and experience working in a medical office. As the first point of contact for the office , you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming environment for our clients and visitors. Job duties include but are not limited to greeting patients, patient scheduling, answering telephones, etc. Preferably have basic knowledge of Electronic Health Record  systems and basic medical terminology.

  • Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and package
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, such as new consultations, follow ups/post op appointments.
  •  Maintain a clean and organized reception area
  • Greet patients, ascertain purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff.
  • Transmit correspondence or medical records by mail, e-mail, or fax.
  • Maintain medical records, or correspondence files with our patient EHR -Electronic health record system-(Nextech).
  • Receive and route messages or documents, such as laboratory results, to appropriate staff.
  • Interview patients to complete documents, patient intake forms, or consent forms.
  • Operate office equipment, such as voice mail messaging systems, scanner etc.
  • Perform various clerical or administrative functions, such as maintaining an inventory of supplies in patient room.
  • Compile and record medical charts, reports, or correspondence, scanning them into patient files using the EHR.
  • assist patients in exam rooms, if and when needed
  • assist with taking before and after photos (if needed)

Job Requirements


Experience:
  • Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar role preferred
  • BILINGUAL A MUST -- MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK AND WRITE SPANISH FLUENTLY 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
