Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, floor-driven Assistant Director of Operations to support and elevate daily service execution across all operational areas, including the main dining room, sushi bar, lounges, terraces, and cocktail bar.

This role is ideal for a visible leader who thrives on the floor, leads by example, and understands that excellence is achieved through presence, precision, and real-time decision-making. You will partner closely with the Director of Operations, department heads, and line-level teams to ensure consistency, efficiency, and world-class guest experiences during every service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily service operations across all venues and outlets, ensuring alignment with brand and service standards.

  • Serve as a floor leader during peak service, anticipating needs, resolving issues, and supporting managers and teams in real time.

  • Conduct impactful pre-shift briefings and post-service recaps focused on pacing, guest flow, and execution.

  • Support the Director of Operations in maintaining brand consistency across all guest touchpoints.

  • Supervise and coach floor managers and department heads, providing clear direction and immediate feedback.

  • Ensure all service stations are fully prepared, stocked, and staffed before service.

  • Partner closely with BOH leadership to coordinate timing, menu flow, and communication between FOH and kitchen.

  • Drive labor efficiency through strategic scheduling, deployment, and active supervision.

  • Perform daily walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards are met.

  • Assist with onboarding, training, and development of managers and hourly staff.

  • Manage shift notes, operational reports, and handoffs between services.

  • Act as Director of Operations in their absence when required.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume luxury, fine dining, or upscale hospitality environments.

  • Strong operational knowledge across dining rooms, bars, lounges, service choreography, labor planning, and guest recovery.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple service environments simultaneously.

  • Calm, confident, and decisive under pressure; leads by example on the floor.

  • Excellent communication, delegation, and follow-through skills.

  • Experience working closely with both FOH and BOH leadership teams.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and late hours.
