Job Description

RMG STAFFING is hiring a maintenance supervisor in one our locations in Gainsville, Florida. The successful candidate must have extensive experience with building and maintenance systems, as well as a solid knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating, painting, and other general maintenance in a residential community setting. Hourly: $25.00
Responsibilities:

  • The Maintenance Supervisor will also be responsible for the completion of routine and preventive maintenance programs and will supervise all outside contractors that service the building.
  • The Maintenance Supervisor must be able to read and understand written specifications, work closely with contractors to obtain competitive bids, schedule contractors and oversee capital projects.
  • The ideal candidate should also possess strong customer service skills and professionalism to deal effectively with residents, vendors and office staff.
  • Assists in troubleshooting, diagnosis, service, and repair of heavy commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems.
  • Test electrical currents or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
  • Assists in all aspects of the property's maintenance including but not limited to: grounds, custodial, preventive, corrective, deferred and emergency maintenance.
  • Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.
  • Join pipes or tubing to equipment and to fuel, water, or refrigerant source, to form a complete circuit.
  • Reassemble and test equipment following repairs.
  • Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
  • Layout and connect electrical wiring between controls and equipment, according to wiring diagrams, using electrician’s hand tools.
  • Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats, and timers, using hand tools.
  • Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
  • Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
  • Perform other related duties as required.


Job Requirements

Requirements:
  • HVAC and EPA license is a must.
  • Must have basic knowledge in electrical and plumbing repairs
  • Must be available after hours for emergency calls
  • Valid, US driver's license
  • Able to move/lift/push/pull/carry an average of 50lbs.
